Welcome to Westwood Christian School! We are honored that you are considering our school for your child. Westwood Christian School has been educating students in Dade-County for over sixty years. We believe every child needs an excellent education to be prepared for the future. We offer a distinctive Christian education based on the Word of God, the center of all truth. Our goal is to help our students develop a Christ-like character.

The academic program at Westwood Christian School is focused on a college preparatory program. We believe that our students need a strong academic foundation to be accepted into any university. We offer a variety of Honors and AP courses. Our sports and fine arts programs have achieved state-wide awards and recognition.

The members of our faculty passionately educate and influence the students they teach. All of our teachers are fully accredited with the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the National Council for Private School Accreditation.

How to Apply

International Students

International students create excitement and diversity to our multi-cultural student body. Our foreign students must meet SEVIS and Westwood Christian requirements in order to be considered for the international program. Our international students transition into higher education with great success.

 

Admissions Checklist

Step 1 - Online Application: Required items to obtain an I-20 Visa

  • Online Application
  • Application and Processing Fee payment of $900.00
  • Original Birth Certificate – Translated in English (notarized)
  • Copy of Passport
  • Copy of the most recent report card for grades K5-8, High School official transcript required for grades 9-12, translated in English with U.S. grade equivalency
  • If transferring with an I-20 from any U.S. school, a “Transfer In” form will be required.
  • Student Evaluation Form required from current school, submitted via applicable link
  • Biological Parent(s) - Names and Address
  • Financial Affidavit
  • Entrance Exam (If testing outside the U.S. Proctor’s name, address, phone number, and email is required)
  • School Administrative Acceptance Letter


Step 2 - To Enroll

  • F-1 Student Visa
  • Guardian(s) - Proof of living expenses funds (Example: 2-3 months of bank statements)
  • Biological Parent(s) - Power of Attorney for Child Care Form - Guardianship (Notarized)
  • Guardian(s) - Acceptance of Guardianship Form (Notarized)
  • Interview with Principal in person or via video conference
  • Pay full year of tuition and fees
  • Sign acknowledgement forms
  • Pay $600.00 Registration/Enrollment Fee


Step 3 - Upon Arrival: Before Starting School

  • Provide a copy of 1-94 (visit www.cbp.gov/194)
  • I-20 form validation of parents/guardians signatures
  • Florida Health forms and updated immunizations records (State Form #680 and #3440)
  • Proof of Student’s Health Insurance

VPK Program Tuition

To qualify for this program, you must present a VPK Voucher, and the student must meet the attendance requirements. Parents will be responsible for any amount not paid by the program. For VPK Plus and Full registration fee is required.

Tuition and Fees Policy

  • Application and enrollment/re-enrollment payments are done through our SIS platform. All other tuition and fees are paid through FACTS tuition management. Processing fees apply.
  • FACTS will apply a $15.00 late fee for any outstanding balance and a $25.00 charge for any non-sufficient fund transaction. Late fees are applied monthly. These charges will not be waived.
  • Changes to a full-day or half-day program can only be made at the start of each semester.
