Happy New Year!

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
- Jeremiah 29:11

Happy New Year! We are happy to see the old year come to a close. Do you remember when we started 2020? Our expectations were high and we faced it with a positive attitude, confidently claiming the promises that God had for us. But eventually, the year led to a lot of fear, worry, and anxiety because we faced something unknown (COVID-19). The year was marked by face masks, sanitizers, and of course social distancing. Many lives were sent into turmoil with job loss, loss of loved ones, depression, and the list goes on. We were all ready to see 2020 come to an end.

As we approach 2021, I encourage you to claim the promise of Jeremiah 29. This is a promise that reminds us that nothing takes God by surprise, not even a pandemic. In verse 13 we see the promise that reminds us that when we seek Him and find Him with all our hearts, He will be found!

In 2021, let’s make this our prayer, that we will trust Him and seek Him in each of our lives on a daily basis – that is our greatest need.
